About the Centre/Service
Hurlingham Pre School is a community-managed, Bayside sessional kindergarten dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education and care, with an exceeding rating. We offer full-day programs for two groups of 4-year-olds and two groups of 3-year-olds. Our strong connections with the local community and schools, along with a highly engaged management committee and leadership team, support our dedicated education staff in delivering exceptional learning experiences to young children.

Description
Commencing in November 2025, the Operations Manager primary responsibility will be to facilitate and support both the teaching team and committee of management in tasks related to the daily operation of Hurlingham Pre School. These tasks include, however are not limited to Enrolments and all associated documentation (using EnrolNow) Overseeing and managing the central Pre School email/inboxes Working with committee where assistance is required Organising and conducting tours of the kindergarten Responding to general enquiries on behalf of the service Engaging with third parties where necessary/requested, e.g. Bayside City Council, The Department of Education, NQA, ELAA, bookkeeper, etc Managing the KIMS/Arrival system Applying for and acquitting grants when available Preparing and distributing policy update Maintaining and updating website Supporting our teachers and educators with specific tasks, as requested, e.g. preparing funding applications, liaising with key workers around scheduling meetings and documentation requirements, working alongside Director to manage/update the QIP, SRF, KIMs Participating in staff meetings where required, e.g. planning, coordinating the rotational minutes Ordering consumables when required Redirect queries regarding child development, education, and pedagogy, to the child's teacher and Educational Leader where necessary Maintain confidentiality on all issues relating to children and families and comply with the service's privacy policy.

Qualifications
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated
experience in administration, preferably within early childhood education, kindergarten, or childcare settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Sound
organisational
skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
•
Proficiency
in using enrolment management system (
EnrolNow
) preferred and Microsoft Office suite applications and data entry.
• Understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, including privacy, child safety, and Department of Education guidelines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Commitment to the values of inclusion, respect, and community engagement.
