About the Role:

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Venue Manager who is motivated, hands-on & committed person to support daily operations and help lead our dynamic team.

(This position requires an autonomous, and resilient solution-focused person to lead & guide our staff into an efficient and productive workday.)

Task will include but not limited to;

  • Supporting the Venue Manager and the Director in daily operations across the business
  • Leading front-of-house teams and ensuring exceptional customer service
  • Assisting with training, mentoring and rostering staff
  • Overseeing opening/closing procedures and facilitating smooth shift transitions
  • Managing bookings and floor plans
  • Assist in implementing service improvements and uphold service standards
  • Adhering to OH&S and Liquor License compliance
  • Manage staff rosters and shift checklists
  • Maintain policy and procedures
  • Work closely with the Director & general venue manager

Key Qualifications/ Experience

  • Must have experience in high-volume Cafe, Restaurant & Event operations
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of hospitality industry experience
  • Proven management experience
  • Hands-on, lived knowledge of food & beverage service
  • Be a great communicator to lead a young and enthusiastic team
  • RSA certification essential
  • Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends
  • Full working rights in Australia
