Our esteemed hotel is centrally located in Cairns City. Our property features 324 elegantly appointed rooms, 18 versatile meeting spaces, Coco's Kitchen and Bar, as well as in-room dining services. We're currently seeking a proactive and service-driven Conference & Events Coordinator to take the lead on delivering exceptional events from initial planning through to post-event follow-up. Job Description

We're on the lookout for a proactive and detail-driven Conference & Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team In this exciting and fast-paced role, you'll be at the heart of bringing memorable events to life — from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences and elegant weddings. As a key liaison between clients and internal teams, you'll ensure every detail is meticulously planned and flawlessly delivered, creating exceptional experiences that leave a lasting impact.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of the full event lifecycle — from initial planning and coordination to on-the-day execution, billing, and post-event follow-up
  • Creating and managing Banquet Event Orders, ensuring all event details are clearly communicated and executed to standard
  • Building and nurturing strong client relationships through clear, consistent communication and outstanding service
  • Collaborating closely with internal departments and on-site partners to ensure events are delivered seamlessly and exceed expectations
  • Overseeing event invoicing and payments, ensuring all financial processes align with agreed contract terms and timelines
Qualifications


What we're looking for:

  • Experience in hospitality or events, ideally in a fast-paced, client-facing role
  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to build rapport and clearly convey event details
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities, with confidence managing multiple events and priorities
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional service and understanding client needs
  • A collaborative team player who works seamlessly with internal teams to ensure flawless execution
  • Creative and solutions-oriented, with the ability to resolve challenges calmly and professionally
