We are currently seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.

A rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our Banquets team and assist the Conference & Events Manager in supervising the coordination of conference and banquet operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively supervise functions, weddings, conferencing, and other events as required.
  • Preparation and breakdown of the banquets area before guests arrive and after guests depart.
  • Oversee and assist all other Banquets Food & Beverage Attendants as required.
  • Proactively work towards achieving profitability in line with budget.

Criteria

  • Recent, relevant F&B Supervisory experience in the last 12 months.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, computer-literate,
  • Experience working with Micros an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Work Health & Safety and the ability to follow policy and procedures.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for exceeding guests' expectations.
  • Supervise and motivate the team.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol attainment.
  • Take responsibility for training and maintaining a happy, motivated team.
  • Set conference rooms promptly and accurately to the specifications described on the function sheets.
  • Know the procedure to handle all conference equipment with care to minimise possible breakages and personal injury.
  • Ensure all Food & Beverage requirements are delivered on time and to a high standard.

All Food & Beverage applicants are required to possess a current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol Attainment Certificate.
