The Firm
This national law firm is in growth mode and is looking for an experienced employment lawyer (at the Senior Associate, Senior Lawyer, Special Counsel) to work with and assist their blue chip employer client base.
The firm acts for a broad range of clients in various industries e.g. property, financial services, fashion, FMG, retail, manufacturing, media, entertainment, IT, resources. In terms of client size, they range from ASX-listed companies to SMEs to high profile individuals. Clients also include government clients as well as international clients.
The RoleThis role is very much a 'hands on' role and where you will have high levels of autonomy, freedom and client responsibility as well as freedom to run the practice your way. You will manage and advise clients, appear before the Commission, go to Court, brief counsel, conduct seminars and workshops, prepare employment contracts and advise clients in relation to adverse actions, unfair dismissals, discrimination and bullying, awards. From time to time there will be IR and safety work.
This is an excellent opportunity for the experienced and ambitious employment lawyer who wants to take an important next step in their career and have more freedom in running their practice.
About You
- You will be an employment lawyer with at least 5 years pae
- Ability to lead and further grow the employment practice

- Passion for employment and workplace relations law
