Insolvency and Restructuring Senior Associate / Special Counsel, Sydney

One client is one of the world's largest international law firms and is consistently ranked among the top law firms globally.

About the role

Due to growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking to recruit a Special Counsel or Senior Associate to their growing Insolvency and Restructuring team in Sydney. Working directly with a highly respected partner and Asia Pacific practice head, you will advise on complex domestic and cross-border insolvency and restructuring matters, as well as distressed debt, private credit and special situations, acting for sophisticated clients across a range of sectors, including energy and resources, real estate and retail. This role offers strong visibility, the chance to work autonomously, and closely with cross border clients in the Asia Pacific region.

About you

This role would suit an experienced restructuring and insolvency lawyer with a minimum of 6 years, who is confident to work autonomously and wants to step up. Perhaps you are stuck in a bottleneck within a large team with nowhere to go or it could be you have reached a ceiling and want to step into a global practice. This role would suit someone with strong technical and transactional skills, who is client facing and wants to take on a key role within a dynamic team that thrives on delivering exceptional results
