Pacific Talent Partners is proud to collaborate with an expanding Australian-operated and based specialist legal firm in our search for a Special Counsel to join their Insolvency and Disputes practice in Sydney. The role
This senior role is integral to the success and continued growth of the firm's insolvency and commercial disputes practice. The Special Counsel will be a key figure in managing complex matters, mentoring lawyers, and supporting the practice's market-leading Partner. If you possess deep technical expertise in insolvency law, excel at developing commercially robust solutions, and are passionate about achieving outstanding results for clients, this is your chance to make a substantial impact and advance your career within a supportive and progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute significantly to the growth of the firm's insolvency and commercial disputes practice by delivering exceptional client outcomes and supporting business development initiatives.
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with insolvency practitioners, financial institutions, and corporate clients.
- Autonomously manage a portfolio of complex insolvency, restructuring, and disputes matters from inception to resolution.
- Provide strategic and technically robust advice on disputes related to insolvency, asset recovery, and commercial fraud.
- Act as a key mentor and role model for junior lawyers and professional staff, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development.
- Manage personal performance against financial targets and contribute to the practice group's overall efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure all work complies with regulatory and risk management requirements in insolvency law.
- Collaborate closely with partners and the wider team to develop innovative legal solutions for clients in financial distress.
- Play a key role in marketing and thought leadership initiatives, helping to position Ironbridge Legal as a leading firm in the insolvency space.
