About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial transactions, timely reconciliations, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounts payable and receivable operations, including data entry and reconciliation.
- Monitor and chase outstanding payments to ensure timely collection.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts regularly.
- Record weekly bank transactions and ensure all records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain accurate settlement and reconciliation processes in line with contracts for both existing and new customers/suppliers.
- Respond to customer and supplier queries promptly and maintain positive relationships.
- Manage accounts-related emails and communication efficiently.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes as required.
About You
- Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is desirable.
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in accounts payable/receivable or similar role.
- Strong understanding of reconciliation and financial accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organization skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
