FinXL is seeking a skilled Network Administration Support Officer to provide essential support and maintenance for a secure and robust IT infrastructure. This long-term engagement requires a strong focus on security compliance, high availability, and the seamless continuity of core services within a sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Network Administrator, the successful candidate will be directly responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support across the following core technical areas:

  • Network Support: Assisting with the management of wide area networks (WANs) and local area networks (LANs), focusing on monitoring and performance.
  • Service Maintenance: Providing support for essential services, including internet, file, print, electronic mail, and scheduling services.
  • Hardware & Platforms: Assisting with the upkeep of diverse computer hardware (mainframes, servers, and desktops) and supporting various operating software platforms.
  • Security & Access: Supporting the management of user access to specified Applications and database Software.
  • Systems Support: Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of effective network and systems management tools, and contributing to data backup and recovery services.

Desirable:

  • Defence Sector Experience is Highly Desirable: Prior, hands-on experience working within the Australian Defence environment or similar highly regulated government/security environments will be a significant advantage.
