Location: Brisbane (2 days WFH per week, 9 days fortnight)

BLACKROC is proud to be partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Network Support Engineer on a permanent basis. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of enterprise networking operations while also contributing to projects, upgrades, and improvement initiatives.

Role Purpose

The Network Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting and optimising enterprise networking environments across multiple sites. The role is split between BAU operational support (60%) and project work (40%), including upgrades, network transitions, and technology optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the escalation point for all network-related incidents.
  • Deliver BAU support, troubleshooting, and proactive optimisation.
  • Support enterprise networking including routing, switching, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and wireless optimisation.
  • Work with Cisco Meraki networking hardware and dashboard administration.
  • Contribute to network projects, including upgrades and new site rollouts.
  • Assist in monitoring, maintenance, and documentation of network environments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in network engineering or support (enterprise or MSP).
  • Strong technical skills in routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, VPNs, QoS, and wireless.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki hardware and administration.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNA minimum, CCNP highly regarded).
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues across the OSI model.
  • Familiarity with firewalls, security appliances, and monitoring platforms.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
