About the role

We are seeking dedicated and friendly Medical Receptionists to join our team at the Sydney Dermatology Group. This is a 3 day part-time position based in our Sydney CBD location. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our dermatology practice.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the practice's calendar
  • Handling patient inquiries and bookings via phone, email and in-person
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and database
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks as required
  • Providing a high level of customer service to ensure a positive patient experience

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist is highly regarded, but we also welcome experienced receptionists/administrators from other industries who are ready to dive into the world of healthcare
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a warm and professional manner
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and remain calm, cool and collected under pressure
  • Proficiency in using medical practice management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • A keen interest in the healthcare industry and a passion for providing exceptional patient care
  • Preferable: experience with Day Surgery administration (OEC, IFC, Health Fund Checks)
