Your New Role and Responsibilities

We have an opportunity with one of our key programs providing support and maintenance of a large enterprise environment spanning multiple locations (ideally you will have an NV1 Security Clearance). This role will see work within a high-performance leveraged team working across a wide range of technologies.

Key Responsibilities

As a Systems Administrator, your role will perform some or all the following functions as individual assignments or as part of a team:

  • System and Software Management: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain computer systems, operating systems, services, and standard company software using customised in-house toolsets; deploy solutions in line with organisational standards and project requirements (e.g., PC Migration Project).

  • User Support and Troubleshooting: Provide deskside support for various applications, Citrix environments, printing and LRS issues; assist with data backup and recovery; carry out troubleshooting and fault remediation activities.

  • Account and Directory Services: Create and maintain various Active Directory (AD) account types, ensuring proper access and user management.

  • Process and Documentation Management: Create, update, and amend process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles to support IT operations and end-user guidance.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with users and key business stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise and resolving technical issues and user requests.

Qualifications & Experience

Coupled with your education and/or experience, you have exposure to some of the below tools and methodologies:

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated high-level skill with Microsoft technologies including Windows 10, Office, Teams, Skype for Business, desktop and laptop hardware (HP, Dell), Cisco phones, and iOS mobility solutions.

  • Infrastructure and Systems Expertise: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange, Office 365 (O365), Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and LRS systems.

  • Scripting and Automation: Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks.

  • Systems Management Tools: Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Ivanti for device and software management.

  • ITIL and Best Practice Frameworks: Solid understanding of ITIL processes and their application within IT service management.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a NV-1 level security clearance.

Paul Chase – Chief Executive, Leidos Australia.

Leidos Australia is an equal opportunities organisation and is committed to creating a truly inclusive workplace. We welcome and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, culturally and linguistically diverse people, people with disabilities, veterans, neurodiverse people, and people of all genders, sexualities, and age groups.

Next Steps

  • To apply for this role, follow the links or apply via our Careers page.

  • Recruitment process - virtual / face to face interview & background checks.

  • Applicants may also need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements. In certain circumstances this can place limitations on persons who hold dual nationality, permanent residency or are former nationals of certain countries as per ITAR 126.1.

  • We are committed to making our recruitment process accessible to all candidates. Please contact our Careers team if you'd like to discuss any additional support during your application or throughout the recruitment process.

At Leidos, we don't want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, "what's next?" before the dust settles on "what's now."

If you're already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You'll fit right in.
