Your Opportunity
Fabrication Coordinator
M2P Engineering | Salisbury, QLD
$100k - $130k | Full Time
As our Fabrication Coordinator, you'll be at the centre of our workshop operations—making sure every project is delivered safely, on time, and to spec. Based at our Salisbury site, you'll draw on your coordination and technical expertise to manage workflows, oversee fabrication processes, and uphold the highest standards of quality.
This isn't your typical desk job. It's a hands-on role where you'll be right in the thick of production—mentoring supervisors, supporting trades, and tackling challenges head-on. You'll also have opportunities to travel interstate to our other facilities, giving you valuable exposure across the wider business. If you're looking for a role that stretches your skills and sets you up for bigger things, this is it.
You'll make an impact by:
• Leading and supporting workshop supervisors across our three fabrication workshops to deliver top-notch, on-time results
• Keeping projects moving smoothly by coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and resolving bottlenecks
• Collaborating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to exceed project expectations
• Ensuring safety and quality compliance at all times, adhering strictly to AS/NZ and ISO standards
• Mentoring tradespeople, building a high-performing, supportive team culture while keeping a hands-on approach
• Working closely with the workshop supervisor to ensure deliveries to site meet schedule requirements
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
• Proven experience in fabrication coordination, project management, or workshop leadership
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of skilled tradespeople
• A laser focus on quality and detail—you know how to deliver the goods every time
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to juggle priorities under pressure
• Experience coordinating transport, working closely with both transport contractors and customers
• A proactive approach to solving problems as they arise
• Willingness to travel interstate as required
Ideally, you will also have:
• A trade background in boilermaking, fabrication, or welding
• Experience with structural steel and piping fabrication, and knowledge of AS/NZ and ISO standards
• The ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings
• Familiarity with FCAW, GMAW and GTAW welding processes (automated welding experience is a bonus)
Why M2P Engineering?

Work. The way it should be. We take pride in quality work, completed to spec and on time. Things can't always go according to plan, of course, but we're proud to exceed expectations and deliver on what we promise.
Your career. The way it should be. With so many interesting projects to get stuck into, there's ongoing work and a stable future here. Just give it a solid go, do the job well, and we'll look after you.
A real team. The way it should be. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with an honest, reliable, and respectful team. We're mates looking after mates, and when the going gets tough, that's when we step up for you the most.
You'll also enjoy a range of other benefits:
• Access to our Employee Assistance Program
• Flexible work arrangements where possible
• Learning and development opportunities to broaden your skillset
• Working with a team that values collaboration, pride, and expertise
