About the role

Core Welding is seeking a motivated Trades Assistant or Apprentice (2nd–4th year) with an interest in pipe welding and sheet metal to join our team in Bethania. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to learn valuable trade skills, gain industry experience, and progress your apprenticeship with support from experienced tradespeople.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting qualified tradespeople with welding, fabrication, and maintenance tasks
  • Preparing materials and work areas for welding and fabrication projects
  • Learning to operate welding equipment and tools safely and effectively
  • Developing skills in pipe welding, sheet metal, and general fabrication
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workshop and jobsite
  • Undertaking training and working towards relevant certifications
