Wing Plastics is a manufacturer of flexible packaging primarily for the FMCG, Horticultural and Industrial markets. Wing Plastics is a privately owned Australian business with multiple manufacturing sites around Australia.
The Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a vibrant person to join our successful sales team as a QLD Senior Account Manager within Wing Plastics. The role is based in Queensland in a WFH capacity.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key role in nurturing existing key relationships whilst identifying new opportunities. This is a highly autonomous, dynamic role, ideal for a proactive sales professional who wants to progress in their career.
The Role
Direct responsibility for generating sales volume of products at assigned accounts within the company's identified strategic markets. Support company's profit and cash objectives by generating new business opportunities at existing accounts and new customers. Collect and disseminate market and customer profiles and intelligence to identify key trends and opportunities. Primary focus will be on new account penetration in flexible packaging in the fresh Food and Horticulture Markets.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Generate profitable sales volume/growth
· Maintenance of asset volume
· New account growth
· Optimize recovery of art/Prepress costs
· Strive to improve profit margin
· Strive to minimize Finished Goods inventory (percent to sales)
· Develop account strategies & implement
· Map accounts know the decision makers, blockers, enablers, etc.
· Carry pertinent information and knowledge to a sales call to make the call productive
· Customer Service involvement
· Resolve scheduling /delivery/quality issues as needed
· Support with technical assistance and/or coordination
· Assist in management of prepress activity and involve customer to insure they are held accountable
· Sales forecasting monthly/quarterly/annually
· Prepare, update and implement plans to ensure success
· Objectives for every sales visit
· Increase customer penetration and customer awareness of Wing & Richdale Plastics
· Strategic Plan - Implementation
· Be an information gatherer; listener rather than talker
· Promotes and adheres to GMP requirements
Additional Responsibilities:
· Participate as required in management activities as deemed appropriate by General Manager
· Support company policies and directives
· Understand internal suppliers and customers, and ensure open lines of communication exist to ensure feedback is received and given
· Customer communication - via e-mail, phone, and/or site visits
· Participate in activities & projects as required
Travel
- Overnight travel is required approximately 10%.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Proven experience in sales and account management at a senior level.
· Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
· Commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a solution-focused mindset.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.
