About the Company

They are leading manufacturers of industrial chemicals, relied upon by the Food & Beverage manufacturing industry to ensure biosecurity and food safety.

Established in the 1940s, this company has 5 production facilities around the globe (including Australia) and a presence in over 100 countries.  They've been active across ANZ for decades and are widely known as one of the best in-market when it comes to providing total cleaning and hygiene solutions to the brewing and winemaking industries.

They currently have a team of 30+ in the region servicing mainly Tier 1, 2 and 3 food and beverage manufacturing accounts.  However, they were recently acquired by a European-based Food Safety group with over $800M in annual revenues and big plans for the APAC region.  It's an exciting time to join as significant resources are being poured into the Australian company to firm up its position as the leading global provider to the Tier 1 F&B manufacturing space.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for those who want to be part of that growth story - eager to work with great people, proactively focused on account development / strategic new client acquisition, whilst providing outstanding service and technical expertise to clients.

In this Brisbane-based, Business Development (60%) / Account Management (40%) role, you'll inherit an active QLD client base of Tier 1, 2 and 3 Food & Beverage manufacturing clients (mainly across the northwest metro area) to proactively service and grow.

Though partly focused on retaining and growing existing accounts, there are ample opportunities to strategically pursue and secure new Tier 1 & 2 customers across QLD (e.g. Light & Easy, Youfoodz, Hilton Foods, Lactalis, Asahi, etc.) - which is critical to the success of this role and the overall growth objectives of the business.

You'll work closely alongside, report to and be supported by a long-tenured, QLD-based Account Manager / Team Leader.  Excellent and ongoing product training will be provided from their Melbourne-metro based head offices. The opportunity to progress into an Industry Segment Lead role within 12-18 months is there, with performance.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will bring either:

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar territory management sales position from within the industrial chemicals industry (preferably Tier 1 F&B market focused); OR
  • 3+ years' Quality Control experience within the F&B Manufacturing space with a genuine want and ability to transition into sales; OR
  • A Food Sciences / Technology Degree or relevant work experience, combined with 3+ years' B2B sales experience in any industry.
