Malvern East, Victoria, Australia Melbourne Vascular Surgery Full time $45,000 - $60,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced, energetic and cheerful medical receptionist to join our friendly specialist practice team in Malvern. 4 days (Tuesday -Friday).

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Managing consulting days including making patient appointments, billing, organising further investigations and patient recalls
  • Greeting patients on arrival and ensuring accurate data entry
  • Managing telephone, email and fax enquiries in a courteous and professional manner
  • Preparing and receipting patient accounts
  • Coordinating hospital theatre booking lists
  • Receive and convey messages both verbally and in writing
  • Liaising with patients and their families in a compassionate manner
  • Networking with GPs, other health professionals and their staff
  • General office administration
About you:
  • Exceptional Genie practice management software knowledge
  • Previous experience in fast paced medical practice reception or similar
  • Punctual, reliable and responsible
  • The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and patient confidentiality
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritise work according to urgency
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work in a team environment and show initiative to work independently and productively when required.
  • The ability to communicate courteously and respectfully with patients, carers and colleagues.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia (permanent resident or citizen)
