HSE Officer – Civil Construction Salary: $80,000 + Super

Location: Darwin

About the Role As an HSE Officer, you'll support project teams to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. You'll monitor site activities, conduct safety audits, and provide guidance on risk management and legislative compliance across multiple civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations
  • Deliver toolbox talks and HSE training to site staff
  • Maintain and improve HSE management systems and documentation
  • Support project managers with risk assessments and compliance reporting
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all work sites

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an HSE role within the civil construction industry
  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent qualification)
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Valid driver's licence and white card
