About the Role 

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Trade Assistant to join our solar installation team. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Supervisor, you will assist with the installation and commissioning of solar PV & Battery systems on rooftops and other structures. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing renewable energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with on-site installation and commissioning of solar PV & Battery systems.

  • Work closely with Rimfire Group supervisors and site representatives to ensure projects are delivered on time and to standard.

  • Identify potential risks on site and support corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate records to meet customer, legislative, quality, and safety requirements.

  • Actively contribute to the ongoing success of Rimfire Group's Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • Carry out other duties as required to support project delivery.

About You

  • Previous trade, labouring, or construction experience (electrical or solar experience highly regarded).

  • Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.

  • A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Current driver's licence (mandatory).

  • White Card (Construction Induction).

  • Working at Heights ticket (or willingness to obtain).
