The opportunity

MND Queensland is on the search for a dynamic, visionary leader to join our executive team as Director of Community Engagement. This newly created role will spearhead our fundraising, marketing, and communications efforts to amplify our impact across the state.

As the driving force behind brand strategy, community engagement, and revenue growth, you will unify and lead these vital functions to deliver measurable results. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Shaping and executing a multi-year strategy across fundraising, marketing, and communications.
  • Leading a passionate team and building a culture of innovation, accountability, and impact.
  • Driving diversified income growth across appeals, events, corporate partnerships, and digital channels.
  • Elevating the MND Queensland brand through integrated campaigns and powerful storytelling.
  • Cultivating high-value donor relationships and championing stewardship excellence.

What You'll Bring:

  • Senior leadership experience in fundraising and/or communications, ideally in the nonprofit or health sector.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills to deliver growth and engagement.
  • Proven ability to inspire teams, communicate with influence, and build high-level partnerships.
  • Financial literacy and understanding of donor compliance frameworks (ACNC, DGR, etc.).
  • A passion for social impact and alignment with MND Queensland's mission and values.
