Description

North Brighton Kindergarten is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our experienced teaching team for the Friday Banksia Group, 8:00am – 4:30pm (6.5 hours teaching + 3.5 hours planning).

You will deliver a high-quality program that nurtures children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence through intentional learning and play. Our play-based pedagogy encourages exploration, discovery, and growth in a safe, supportive environment.

About You

You are enthusiastic about working with young children and preparing them for their transition to school. You bring strong teamwork skills, a commitment to embedding First Nations perspectives, and a sound understanding of child safe practice.

Qualifications

  • A minimum Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • An approved Diploma or equivalent qualification is also acceptable where combined with degree-level study
  • A current Employee Working With Children Check
  • A current approved First Aid qualification, including Anaphylaxis, Epipen, and Emergency Asthma Management training
  • Completion of the PROTECT: Protecting Children – Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations for the Early Childhood Sector online module
  • Sound knowledge of Child Safe legislation, VEYLDF and the NQS
