The Role

A State Government department is after a Project Officer to join their them on an initial 6-12 month contract, based in Melbourne CBD with hybrid flexibility. This role will support planning, delivery, and monitoring of transformation programs across the organisation, ensuring project activities are well-coordinated, documented, and delivered on time.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and administrative support for project planning, delivery and monitoring.
  • Maintain project documentation, registers and reports ensuring accuracy and version control.
  • Support risk, issue and financial management including purchase orders and invoice processing.
  • Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and follow up on actions.

About You

  • Proven experience in project coordination or PMO support within complex or regulated environments.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency with project tools and MS Office suite.
  • Experience working across multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced setting.
