About the role:

We are seeking a Project Officer to join the Pathology Network West (PNW) team. Working in collaboration with the partner health services, the RMH is leading the major transformation initiative to unify pathology services across the Parkville Precinct into a single, world-class public pathology network.

In this role, you will work closely with the Corporate Service Program Manager to coordinate program activities, maintain key registers, prepare governance reports, and support workshops This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaboration, and is committed to driving program outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support program delivery by coordinating Project Management activities, including project plans, reporting, and change control.

  • Maintain and update project registers (risks, issues, decisions) and assist in governance reporting and assurance reviews.

  • Prepare materials, schedule meetings/workshops, record actions, and track progress with stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, supporting communication, engagement, and change readiness activities.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing PMO processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.

About You

You are an experienced change professional who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You bring:

  • Experienced in supporting projects or programs within large or complex organisations, ideally in transformation or change environments.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with exposure to project management and scheduling or reporting systems (e.g., MS Project) is an advantage.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to support engagement with key stakeholders via various communication channels (e.g. email, minutes, reports).

  • Skilled in building effective relationships and working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
