Your new role In this role, you will lead, manage, and maintain HSEQ systems in compliance with Australian legislation and international standards. You will foster a results-oriented safety and quality culture through leadership, stakeholder engagement, and participation in the company's Excellence Program. The HSEQ Manager leads the team, promotes continuous improvement, and ensures timely communication of HSEQ performance indicators.
As a key member of the team, the responsibilities and duties of this role will include, but not be limited to:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and coach the HSEQ team, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • HSEQ System Management: Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS4801, and ISO14001 standards, manage audits, and monitor legislative changes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in the Multotec Excellence Program, implement significant HSEQ improvements, and promote hazard reporting.
  • Safety and Health Initiatives: Enhance employee health and wellbeing, manage risk identification and incident investigation, and maintain a low LTIFR.
  • Quality and Environmental Management: Oversee quality and environmental controls, ensure compliance, and report on performance metrics.
What you will need to succeed
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in an HSEQ leadership role within manufacturing, mining, or related industries.
  • Expertise: Proven management of ISO 9001, AS4801, and ISO14001 systems with successful audit outcomes.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Australian WHS and environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Leadership and Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, fostering a positive safety and quality culture.
