HSEQ Coordinator Role Summary

As a key member of our team, the HSEQ Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and the wider community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) management system to:

  • Provide expert guidance on HSEQ matters and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain robust WHS, environmental, and client system compliance programs.
  • Update website content on HSEQ processes, procedures, and records.
  • Manage internal HSEQ audits, project WHS inspections, safety investigations, and incident reporting.
  • Contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly HSEQ reports.
  • Provide training and technical support as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications Include:

  • Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.
  • 1+ year's experience in an HSEQ Coordinator role or similar, and 3+ years in a construction, property management, facility management, or trades role.
  • Working knowledge of HSEQ management systems and standards including AS/NZS 4801 and AS/NZS ISO 14001.
  • Proven experience conducting safety inspections.
  • Ability to write reports, review safety documentation e.g. SWMS and safety plans, and issue work permits e.g. work at heights, hot works, and confined space permits.
  • Able to respond quickly to change and adopt an innovative and collaborative approach to safety management.
