About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Workshop Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and maintaining a range of mechanical equipment in our workshop. You'll work closely with our maintenance and engineering teams to ensure all machinery and components are serviced to the highest standard. This position we be located at our Kooragang site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical fitting, assembly, and maintenance on various machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely
  • Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Fabricate and modify parts as required
  • Work from technical drawings and specifications
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality procedures

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
  • Proven experience in workshop or heavy equipment maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Welding or machining experience (desirable)
  • Current driver's and forklift licence
