Our team is committed to making a real difference in people's lives, and we are growing We're currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team.

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers who have a strong background in managing complex behavioural needs and supporting non-verbal clients.

You will be working alongside a professional team, including Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, and families, to implement strategies that ensure safety, consistency, and quality of life for participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to clients with complex behavioural and communication needs.
  • Follow and implement Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and daily routines.
  • Support non-verbal clients using communication aids (AAC, iPads, visuals, gestures, etc.).
  • Assist with personal care, community access, and daily living activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and incident reports in line with NDIS standards.
  • Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will be calm, patient, proactive, and dedicated to high-quality care. You understand the importance of safety, respect, and person-centred support.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 6 months experience as a Disability Support Worker
  • Experience with manual handling and using hoists and transfer aids
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check (if applicable)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Manual Handling and Infection Control training
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of duty of care, privacy, and professional boundaries
