About the Role:

The Support Space is seeking compassionate and experienced Disability Support Workers to provide individualised support to people living with Motor Neuron Disease (MND). This role requires a strong background in personal care and a commitment to delivering respectful, high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to participants with MND in their homes and the community.
  • Assist with personal care, showering, grooming, toileting, and dressing with dignity and respect.
  • Support participants in community engagement and meaningful recreational activities.
  • Assist with domestic duties such as cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
  • Deliver high-intensity care for participants with complex needs.
  • Transport participants to appointments and social activities.
  • Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports, and shift documentation.

About You:

  • Experienced in personal care and supporting people with complex needs.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to empowering people with disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Reliable, flexible, and confident using mobile apps for communication and documentation.
  • Available for flexible shifts across a 24-hour roster, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and public holidays.

Requirements:

  • Current WA driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Located within 20km of Coolbellup.
