About the Role

As the HR Advisor, you'll play a key part in supporting venue managers and head office teams with day-to-day HR advice, investigations, and compliance. You'll be the go-to for employment relations, WorkCover, and injury management guiding leaders to handle issues fairly, professionally, and with care.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same; one minute you might be advising on performance matters, the next coordinating a return-to-work plan or helping implement a new HR process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical advice on employee relations and performance management, ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation and company policies
  • Manage and coordinate WorkCover and return-to-work programs, supporting employees through recovery and reintegration
  • Partner with managers on investigations, PIPs, grievances, and workplace concerns
  • Interpret Awards and EBAs (Hospitality or similar), providing accurate guidance to line managers
  • Support visa processes, including VEVO checks, renewals, and compliance requirements
  • Assist with HR projects, policy updates, and system improvements that drive engagement and culture

What You'll Bring

  • 1 to 2 years' experience in a similar HR or ER advisory role, ideally in hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced, service-driven industry
  • Strong understanding of Fair Work legislation, Awards, and best practice HR
  • Confidence managing sensitive employee matters, investigations, and performance reviews
  • Experience coordinating WorkCover and RTW programs
  • A proactive, down-to-earth approach and the ability to build genuine relationships at all levels
