Join the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as a Principal Advisor – Workforce Strategy and Capability.
This role will be responsible for the implementation of the CDSB Strategic Workforce Plan and provide subject matter expertise across a range of strategic workforce domains. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects and help shape the workforce priorities that support CDSB in building capability, leadership and the culture for the future.

The HR team delivers its services through a collaborative structure, including business aligned Business Partner teams and specialised teams focused on Workplace Relations, Safety and Ethical Standards, Executive and Talent, Policy
and Programs, Workforce Strategy, Workforce Insights and HR Systems. These teams are further supported by the hrAssist team, which provides centralised support to the HR team and is the first point of contact for many HR-related queries.
The Principal Advisor - Workforce Strategy and Capability position sits within with Workforce Strategy and Capability team, which partners with the HR team and the department's leadership to align workforce planning with organisational priorities to build capability, leadership and culture for the future.
Your Responsibilities
As the Principal Advisor, you will:
- Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of strategic workforce and capability initiatives to align with organisational priorities.
- Develop and implement workforce planning, capability development, equity and diversity strategies, and organisation culture programs to support a high-performing and inclusive workplace.
- Research, benchmark, and design innovative capability development programs, ensuring alignment with best practice engagement and delivery methods.
- Drive the development, implementation, and reporting of workforce initiatives, including workforce planning, recognition programs, and equity, diversity and inclusion strategies.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of projects, including planning, monitoring, tracking and reporting, to ensure successful outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets.

- Ability to align workforce capability and learning initiatives with organisational goals and objectives.
