HSE & HR Advisor
Caboolture, QLD | Full-time, onsite | $90k-$100k + Super
Are you looking for a practical, hands-on role where you can make a real impact on people, culture, and safety? This newly created position is your chance to shape both WHS and HR systems at a growing, high-performing facility undergoing major transformation.

The business is a long-standing operation with decades of heritage in premium meat production. Following recent investment, the site is being modernised and is now expanding significantly - scaling from 140 to 250+ employees over the next few years, with ambitious plans for the future.

About the Role
Split roughly 70/30 between WHS and HR, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, boots-on-the-ground environments like manufacturing, FMCG, or agri-food. You'll work closely with leadership to embed safer, stronger systems and a respectful, inclusive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment (WHS)

  • Ensure WHS compliance across site operations
  • Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits
  • Investigate incidents and lead improvements
  • Deliver inductions and safety training
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and PPE management
  • Manage WorkCover cases and return-to-work plans
  • Support WHS system improvements

Human Resources (HR)

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction (via Employment Hero)
  • Maintain employee records and track certifications
  • Assist with employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Support performance reviews and staff development
  • Help design and embed new HR policies
  • Generate useful people metrics and updates to the HRIS
  • Foster a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement

  • You're a people person who's not afraid to roll up your sleeves
  • You've worked in a similar role in manufacturing, logistics, or food production
  • You're organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling tasks
  • You care deeply about safety, culture, and doing things the right way
  • You live near Caboolture and enjoy being on the floor, not stuck behind a desk
