Demonstrated high level experience in financial management legal requirements and practices, including the capacity to produce reports and provide advice in respect to those reports. Organisational and resources management with a proven capacity to support the Principal and leadership team through the timely and accurate management of these functions and financial reporting to the School Board.

Proven ability to show initiative and leadership as part of an effective and cohesive team in a complex work environment to ensure a continuous and efficient operation of the school. A demonstrated capacity to monitor and manage staff performance including overseeing the education support staff annual performance reviews and development planning.

Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication abilities, along with advanced interpersonal skills that include a capacity to develop constructive relationships with staff, students, and the school community.

Demonstrated high level competency and understanding of Department of Education software systems including CASES21, Recruitment Online, eduPay, and the associated internal controls, policy, procedures, guidelines, and employment conditions relevant to school-based staff.

Demonstrated capacity to provide high level organisational, interpersonal and management skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to support a busy high performance school setting and its business practices including demonstrated capacity to lead an education support team.

Capacity to monitor and maintain the Student Resource Package (SRP), provide high level advice to the school Leadership Team on Finance, Human Resources, and Workforce Planning matters and the ability to maintain and monitor the annual program budget.
RoleThe successful applicant will be employed at the either our 15 Mile Creek or Bogong Campus through negotiation.
The Business Manager is an integral and valued member of the school¿s leadership team and assists the Principal and Campus Principals in facilitating and maintaining a highly professional school operation which best serves the needs of the students, staff, families and community.
The Business Manager becomes accountable for the ongoing delivery of key business, finance and HR services that are integral to the strategic resource management of the school.
The Business Manager will work to understand existing school processes, anticipate future needs and assists in forward planning as we progress in the development of our school.
The Business Manager is customer service focused, warm and highly professional, models strong public-sector values, and effectively deals with competing priorities and pressures. The Business Manager also provides supportive leadership and development of the education support team.
The Business Manager embraces the challenge of the new, is open to learning and brings a solution-focused mindset to challenges and effectively manages change and resources.

Responsibilities- Manage the school budget and contribute to the financial decision making of the school.
- Manage the accounting processes of the school through CASES21 software and ensure that all funds are effectively accounted for according to the Department of Education regulations.
- Monitor and provide advice on the school student resource package on a regular and timely basis. This includes fortnightly, and annual reconciliation.
- Manage recruitment procedures in Recruitment Online and ensure all policy and legal requirements are met.
- Manage the human resource functions of all school staff in EduPay, including maintenance of personnel records and payroll functions, and provision of advice in regard to conditions of employment of school staff.
- Assist with performance and development reviews, including giving and receiving feedback to and from peers regarding improvement strategies.
- Work with the Facilities Manager to ensure our unique school infrastructure is maintaining a safe, inspiring learning environment.
- Monitor and provide assistance with the Asset Information Management System (AIMS).
- Work with staff to ensure occupational health and safety regulations are met through the eduSafe Plus website.
- Provide a range of administrative and support duties for the School Board and Principals, including the preparation of minutes and attending appropriate meetings.
- To undertake other duties and responsibilities within the dimensions of work level as requested by the principal.
- Leading a culture of respect, community, integrity and educational excellence.
- To be an effective member of the school team and contribute towards the school¿s vision of ¿educating for sustainability¿.
