Purpose of the Role
The Integrated Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth across WA + SA territory while supporting salon, spa, and clinic partners as well as providing best-in-class education and training. This dual-focus role ensures our partners have the commercial acumen to maximise sell-through and client retention but are also equipped with product knowledge and treatment expertise to support and drive sales and business growth.
Sales performance is the primary measure of success, supported by the ability to deliver impactful, practical education both in-treatment and in-sales techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development (Primary)
- Drive wholesale revenue growth across allocated territories in line with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new salon, spa, and clinic partners, onboarding them into the BLC Collective.
- Manage, nurture, and grow existing accounts with a focus on retention, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities.
- Deliver structured call cycles and maintain accurate CRM records (Cin7/Shopify CRM).
- Provide timely reporting on territory performance, market insights, and competitor activity.
Education & Training (Essential)
- Deliver in-person treatment training and online training to salon, spa, and clinic partners.
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations and practical treatment education, ensuring compliance with brand protocols.
- Facilitate sales-focused training sessions to build confidence in retailing, upselling treatments, and increasing average client spend.
- Partner with the National Education Manager to adapt brand education into local market needs and ensure partners have the tools and confidence to effectively position our brands within their businesses.
Territory & Partner Engagement
- Develop strong relationships across all levels of the BLC Salon Community (owners, therapists, front-of-house).
- Plan and execute quarterly business reviews with key accounts.
- Support partners with marketing initiatives, event activations, and consumer-facing education.
- Represent BLC and our portfolio brands at any trade shows, events, and industry networking functions we partake in.
Key Capabilities & Attributes
- Proven track record in sales, ideally in beauty, skincare, or wellness distribution.
- Confidence in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong ability to train, educate, and inspire others both practically (treatment room skills) and commercially (sales techniques).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities: prospecting, account management, education delivery, and reporting.
- Organised, proactive, and commercially astute with a partner-first mindset.
- Comfortable working independently across multiple states with regular travel.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 + years in a sales-focused BDM or Account Manager role (preferably in beauty, skincare, spa, or wellness).
- Formal qualifications in beauty therapy, dermal therapy, required.
- Demonstrated experience delivering training or education to professional audiences.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and digital presentation platforms.
- Current driver's licence and ability to travel across assigned WA + SA territories.
