We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and enthusiastic person for the position of Territory Manager.
We offer stable employment within our well-established and locally owned business, an attractive salary package (90K to $110K plus super, depending on experience and qualification) as well as a fully maintained vehicle, phone and notebook computer, to assist the person in this role.
Role Overview:
As a Territory Manager you will be responsible for servicing the Automotive Refinish and Light Industrial coatings segment. The role will focus on managing and growing sales within a specific geographic area. Build strong customer relationships and maximize profitability across the product portfolio. This is achieved by working with distributors, and directly with customers, including internal teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Goals: Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets, financial plans, and growth objectives.
 - Pipeline: Build and manage ongoing pipeline to assist in identifying new business wins.
 - Call Cycle: Maintain call cycles to maximize the balance of existing business and new business prospecting.
 - Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry groups.
 - Market Development: Identify new business opportunities, grow market share, and expand the customer base.
 - Distribution Management: Work with distributors to ensure they are effectively servicing the territory and achieving sales targets.
 - Product Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive technical and practical understanding of the company's products, competitor products, and application techniques.
 - Training and Support: Provide training and support to distributors and customers on product usage and best practices.
 - Reporting and Analysis: Track performance, analyse market trends, and provide feedback to management.
 - Expense Management: Manage expenses within budget and maintain accurate records.
 - Account Management: Assist accounts receivable by gathering information about outstanding issues.
 - EH&S Compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety procedures.
 
Key Skills:
- Sales and Negotiation:
 
Ability to effectively sell products and services, negotiate contracts, and build rapport with customers.
- Technical Skills:
 
Understanding of automotive refinish and light industrial coating products, processes and industry best practices.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
 
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, distributors and internal teams. Competent computer skills using outlook, word, excel, teams and CRM system.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
 
Ability to identify problems, analyse data, and develop solutions.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills:
 
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
