The role:
The Civic Events Officer plays a key role in organising civic events across the municipality. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a diverse program of civic events including Australian Citizenship Ceremonies, community and corporate award events, and Sister City initiatives that foster international relationships.
The role also provides professional event and protocol support to the Mayor and Councillors, ensuring all civic engagements are delivered with a high standard of professionalism, cultural respect and community focus. Through well-executed civic programs, the Civic Events Officer helps promote community connection and celebrate local achievements.
