The Marina Tavern is one of Hamilton Island's most popular and relaxed venues, offering a lively, family-friendly atmosphere, stunning harbour views, great food, and genuine island hospitality. A favourite among both locals and visitors, the Tavern is the perfect place to enjoy a meal or drink while soaking in the Whitsundays' charm.

We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team and help lead our high-performing crew across the bar, bistro, and gaming areas.

Your Role

As a Food & Beverage Supervisor at the Marina Tavern, you'll play a hands-on role in leading shifts, supporting the team, and ensuring every guest enjoys a friendly, efficient, and memorable experience. You'll work closely with the Venue Manager to maintain smooth operations and uphold the Tavern's reputation for great service and atmosphere.

Where you'll make an impact

  • Lead and motivate the team across bar, bistro, and gaming operations

  • Supervise daily service to ensure consistency, speed, and quality

  • Assist with rostering, stock control, and cash handling

  • Train and coach staff to deliver exceptional guest service

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and gaming regulations

  • Handle guest feedback professionally, ensuring prompt resolutions

  • Support the Venue Manager with reporting and operational tasks

What we're looking for

You are an energetic, customer-focused leader with strong communication skills and a passion for creating great hospitality experiences. You thrive in a busy environment and take pride in leading by example.

To be successful, you'll need:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a pub, tavern, or high-volume restaurant

  • Current RSA & RCG certificates (essential)

  • RMLV certification (highly regarded)

  • Strong understanding of gaming operations including TAB, Keno, and pokies (advantageous)

  • Full driver's licence (required)

  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and public holidays

  • A proactive attitude and hands-on leadership style
