About The Role

The Medical Secretary Administration role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Clinic and all Administrative functions to support our Clinicians: Psychologists, Social Workers, Counsellors, Behavioural Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists. This role reports directly to our General Manager and is supported by a Team of Administration, across our 3 Clinics.

The available role is a Permanent Part Time position to work 4 x days per week (32 hours), across our Hamilton and Rutherford clinics. Our office hours are 8am-5pm. This is the Work/Life balance you are looking for

This position would suit a mature-minded person who has a successful career in Medical Administration or someone with Administration experience looking to move into Medical/Health field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Manage client inquiries with professionalism
  • Manage appointments effectively
  • Assist clinicians in maintaining their schedules for optimal efficiency
  • Process payments and manage billing tasks accurately
  • Manage communications and correspondence with external stakeholders
  • Ensure accuracy with all correspondence
  • Perform general administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with administration team
  • Be able to work independently, have initiative, and be able to solve problems and priorities tasks to meet deadlines
  • Have Medical Administration experience and/or Administration, EA, PA, or similar
  • Ideally have some understanding of NDIS, Disability and Paediatrics
  • Have excellent time management skills
  • Be able to adjust to different clinic settings and support clinicians

Essential/Willing to obtain

  • Employee Working with Children's Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance
  • Police Check
  • Driver Licence and reliable comprehensively-insured vehicle
  • First Aid
  • Mental Health First Aid

Desirable

  • Qualifications in Business Administration and/or experience in a similar role.

Remuneration

$33-$35 per hour plus superannuation, to be discussed with the successful Applicant and will be commensurate with Qualifications and Experience.
