Are you a warm, organised and proactive individual with a passion for healthcare and patient care? We're looking for a Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our busy and caring general practice.

We are a well-established, AGPAL accredited general practice committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care to our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients with a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, manage recalls and reminders
  • Process Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and private billing
  • Maintain accurate patient records and confidential information
  • Liaise with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and pathology services
  • Manage daily administrative and reception duties, including inbox, scanning and mail

You'll Bring

  • Previous experience in medical or customer service role (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Confidence using medical software (Best Practice preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • A team-oriented attitude and positive work ethic

Requirements

  • Current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • COVID-19 vaccination status
  • CPR (Preferred)
  • Must be flexible and able to cover shifts between Monday to Sunday.
  • Must have valid Australian work rights
