About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Skin Check Assistant / Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. This dual role combines hands-on support for our skin cancer doctors with front desk administrative duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist doctors during skin checks and skin procedures
  • Prepare and maintain clinical rooms and instruments in accordance with infection control standards
  • Manage patient bookings and provide excellent front desk service
  • Handle patient enquiries, phone calls, and appointment scheduling
  • Process payments, Medicare claims, and documentation
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Support the clinical and administrative team as needed
About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, empathetic, and passionate about patient care.

Essential skills and attributes:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring and professional manner with patients
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Previous experience in a medical reception or clinical assistant role

  • Strong computer literacy (Best Practice software experience highly regarded)

  • Experience assisting in skin cancer clinics or with skin procedures

  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
