About the opportunity

- Demonstrated experience in corporate governance, company secretarial, or compliance roles, ideally within regulated or not-for-profit organisations.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and ACNC requirements.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in record-keeping, minute-taking, and reporting.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with Boards, executives, and stakeholders.
- High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential matters.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
As a proud, community-controlled organisation we actively encourage Firsts Nations People to apply.
Please note that due to the criticality of this role to our organisation, we will move at pace through our recruitment process. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP. The role will close when an offer is accepted by a suitable candidate.
At the ALS, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of safe recruitment practices. Therefore, it is essential that candidates either possess or can obtain a current and valid Working with Children (NSW) or Working with Vulnerable People (ACT) check.
