Program Manager

An opportunity exists for an experienced Program Manager to join a leading Australian bank, for an initial 6 month contract, with a good chance of being extended. The role will be delivering a new home loan product as part of a strategic transformation in the consumer lending space.
This role requires a hands-on delivery professional with proven experience managing end-to-end projects within retail or consumer banking, ideally focused on mortgages, lending, or home loan systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive the development and delivery of a new home loan product
- Manage cross-functional teams across business, operations, and technology
- Oversee delivery plans, budgets, and stakeholder communication
- Identify risks and dependencies, ensuring timely issue resolution
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to align on business outcomes
About You
- 7+ years' experience as a Program Manager within banking or financial services
- Strong background in lending, mortgages, or home loan product delivery
- Experience managing multiple streams across business and tech
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on delivery environment
Contract Details
- Hybrid working: 3 days onsite in Sydney
- Initial 6-month engagement, with strong potential to extend
