The Opportunity
Velocity Truck Centres Australia (VTCA) is seeking a commercially astute and visionary Vice President, Parts to lead our national Parts Division. This is a critical executive leadership role, reporting directly to the President of VTCA, with responsibility for strategic direction, operational performance, and profitability across a complex, multi-site network.
This role requires a leader who has successfully provided direct support to multiple operational sites, driving performance and alignment across a national or regional network.
You will lead through a team of national and specialist managers, and in collaboration with local GM's / Branch managers to guide a workforce of over 150. You will set the standards and priorities for Parts across the company, and drive innovation and customer-centricity to ensure its market position grows and delivers exceptional value to our customers and partners.
This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, with national oversight and regular travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a national growth strategy for the department
- Set quarterly and annual priorities and targets for the department, in consultation with key functional stakeholders
- Set operational standards and KPIs for the department that will ensure operational excellence
- Design initiatives to execute on the strategy / priorities, in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Oversee execution of initiatives, and achievement of operational KPIs and budgets, and work with stakeholders to ensure they remain on track or develop plans to address gaps
- Manage the Parts Division P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team of national / specialist leaders and Parts Managers
- Build strong relationships with OEM partners and other suppliers and ensure we have a competitive product offering
- Build strong relationships with key customers to help support business growth
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards
- Identify and mitigate operational risks across the division
What You Bring
- Proven experience in directly supporting or closely collaborating with multiple sites to drive performance, consistency, and strategic outcomes across a national or multi-location network
- Proven leadership experience in automotive, trucking, or industrial parts retail
- A strong track record of managing a retail parts P&L and delivering growth
- Expertise in inventory systems, supply chain logistics, and operational transformation
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and commercial acumen
- Experience working in a large, complex organisation with a national scope
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
