Role Summary
You will lead Splunk's Strategic Advisory function across APJC uniting industry advisors, value consultants, Field CTO leaders, Programmes, and Partner Technical Management (PTM) teams to drive outcome-based transformations for our customers and partners.
You will set the vision for thought leadership, steward our APJC programs to accelerate joint selling between Cisco and Splunk, and orchestrate co-selling motions with partners to scale Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
This role is pivotal in deepening collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, and the Global Specialist Organization (GSO) Product Advisors, while ensuring Value Advisory, Field CTO, Industry Advisory, and Partner Technical Managers continue to operate as a high-impact, unified organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing APJC Strategic Advisory organization, integrating PTM to strengthen partner propositions and overall Splunk's growth.
- Serve as an executive business partner for Sales and Customer Success, prioritizing immersive advisory support for strategic customers and partners.
- Orchestrate end-to-end, partner-led co-selling motions; align with ecosystem leaders to accelerate pipeline and ARR.
- Define and operationalize an APJC vision for outcome/value selling, with pragmatic roadmaps anchored on the Splunk platform and Splunk product tech-stack.
- Champion thought leadership to influence executives, shape markets, and elevate the Advisory organization brand and impact internally and externally
- Create and lead the APJC wide programs, coordinating cross-functional execution and governance sponsored by Splunk & Cisco APJC leadership.
- Establish and run Customer Advisory Boards to capture market feedback and inform GTM leadership and teams about priorities.
- Collaborate with GSO Product Advisors and GTM teams to develop and validate propositions, methods, tools, and advisory workshops.
- Represent Splunk/Cisco at executive briefings and industry forums with clear, compelling narrative and executive presence.
- Set KPIs, inspect performance, and continuously improve motions that drive lifetime value and retention in priority accounts.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in enterprise software/SaaS spanning engineering/enterprise architecture and specialist selling and/or executive advisory/CTO-type responsibilities
- 5+ years leading customer-facing teams; proven ability to build, scale, and operationalize services and programs
- Proven ability to set and communicate a clear technology vision aligned to business outcomes, engaging credibly with CTOs/CIOs on strategy, modernization, and transformation
- Strong architectural fluency in secure, high-scale, highly available cloud environments (distributed systems, microservices evolution, data platforms, observability, cybersecurity) to lead executive-level discussions without needing to be hands-on.
- Deep experience with SaaS go-to-market, outcome/value selling, and business/digital transformation, including executive advisory and business value consulting for top accounts.
- Strong understanding of IT, Security, and DevOps markets; vertical industry fluency.
- Demonstrated success in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles across EMEA strategic accounts
- Track record building, scaling, and operationalizing services and programs; skilled at influencing across matrixed organizations, resolving conflict, and driving execution.
- Exceptional executive presence and communication skills for board/C-suite, business, and technical audiences; comfortable leading Customer Advisory Boards and external thought leadership.
- Evidence of partnering with and enabling channels/alliances to drive co-sell motions, build propositions, and grow partner-led practices
- High integrity, low ego, comfortable with ambiguity and collaborative leadership style; skilled at influencing across matrixed organizations.
- Willingness to travel across APJC (~50%).
