About the RoleThis Undergraduate Civil
Engineer position provides hands-on experience and learning in
various fields such as Land Development, Traffic, Design,
Construction, Asset Management and Maintenance within a local
government setting. The role involves completing allocated projects
while developing time and project management skills, gaining
exposure to a variety of project demands and unforeseen situations
that require adaptability and problem-solving. It offers a valuable
opportunity to apply knowledge and skills in a practical setting
while working towards a tertiary qualification.
About you A successful candidate for the
Undergraduate Civil Engineer position will be a current student
pursuing a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering. They will
demonstrate effective time management skills, balancing their
studies with the demands of the role. They will have foundational
experience with information systems and technology, hold a C class
driver's license, and possess intermediate computing, numeracy, and
literacy skills. Additionally, they will have intermediate
organisational skills, foundational customer service skills,
intermediate communication and problem-solving skills, and
foundational research and analysis skills. They will also have a
basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices,
including hazard identification in an office environment.
