Civil Engineering Manager
, you'll lead from the front, inspiring a high-performing team, driving technical excellence, and delivering landmark land development projects that shape the future of our communities.

What You'll Do

As a Civil Engineering Manager, you'll oversee the full project lifecycle — from planning to delivery — while developing and empowering your team to achieve exceptional results.

Project Leadership and Delivery

• Lead multidisciplinary civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Manage project resourcing, approvals, and authority liaison across all phases.
• Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation and quality strategies.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of civil engineers and designers.
• Provide guidance, training, and career development to build technical and leadership capability.
• Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews, setting clear goals and expectations.
• Foster an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Client and Partner Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and councils.
• Represent Peritas with confidence in client meetings and negotiations.
• Identify new opportunities, contribute to proposals, and support business growth.
• Ensure a consistently exceptional partner experience across all touchpoints.

Technical and Commercial Excellence

• Review and oversee design documentation including stormwater, roads, and services.
• Champion design innovation, sustainability, and constructability.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and profitability across multiple projects.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and HSEQ systems.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Drive process optimisation and technology adoption to enhance design efficiency.
• Encourage knowledge sharing and new ways of working that improve delivery.
• Support the integration of digital design tools such as Civil 3D and 12D.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, with strong exposure to land development.
• Proven leadership of technical teams delivering complex civil projects.
• Deep technical capability across drainage, roadworks, earthworks, and utility design.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven success managing budgets and profitability.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• CPEng or working toward Chartered status highly regarded.
