Role Description

This is a full-time Accounts Payable/Receivable role based in Southport. The role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the business, including processing invoices, handling payments, reconciling accounts, and managing receivables. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
  • Manage accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and following up on outstanding payments
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and accounts regularly
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Prepare and distribute statements to clients and suppliers as required
  • Respond to queries from suppliers and clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Work closely with management to provide financial insights and reporting when needed
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and process improvements

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable/receivable or a similar finance role
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero or similar) and MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build good relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field preferred
