About the role

We are seeking a Finance Administrator to join our team at the Australian Workers' Union SA Branch in Mawson Lakes, SA. This is a contract position that may lead to Full Time employment and will play a key role in managing the financial and administrative operations of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate and up to date financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Responsible for all aspects of financial management, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll and financial reporting.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and other financial analyses.
  • Providing administrative, data entry, filing and general office duties to support our Administration and Membership team.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders such as auditors and suppliers.
  • Providing support to the broader team as needed.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar finance administrator role, preferably within the accounting industry or the Union movement.
  • Strong skills in financial management, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of our team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality service and supporting the overall objectives of the organisation.
