ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is your chance to join the team at the HALF MOON HOTEL in Melbourne VIC as part of Morris Hospitality.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced restaurant professional Chef de Partie - a person who is capable of driving excellent product, service and team culture. At HALF MOON, and across all Morris Hospitality venues, we are dedicated to ensuring the highest level of service and the smooth operation of all daily kitchen duties.
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting kitchen & front of house staff in delivering great food on a consistent basis
- On-shift management of your section
- Maintaining service standards & contributing to team culture & guest experience
- Working with senior chefs to plan menus
- Financial & cost management within scope of responsibilities
- Ordering & stock control
- Quality control of food production
- Preparing & cooking all food items
- Explaining & enforcing hygiene regulations
- General kitchen operational duties as required
Full-Time Salary: $75,000 - $80,000
ABOUT YOU:
To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Trade qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience as Chef de Partie
- Experience in similar-style venue
- Experience in producing & creating seasonal menu dishes
- Experience with sourcing fresh local produce
- Experience working across different kitchen sections
- Cooperation skills & the ability to work well within a team
- Be reliable & driven
- Be organised & methodical
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Leadership & management skills
- Ability to effectively train junior workers
- Desire to cook delicious food
- Passion for cooking & innovation
