Commis / Chef de Partie – Coppersmith Hotel (South Melbourne)
Join the kitchen team at Coppersmith Hotel, a boutique pub and restaurant in the heart of South Melbourne. We're looking for a passionate Commis Chef or Chef de Partie ready to learn, grow, and contribute to a tight-knit team producing seasonal, quality-driven dishes.
About the Role
You'll work alongside senior chefs to prepare and execute dishes across various sections. This role offers the chance to refine your technique, develop your skills, and take on more responsibility as you progress within the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items under the guidance of senior chefs
Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene
Assist with prep, stock rotation, and section setup
Contribute ideas for specials and menu development
Maintain an organised and efficient workstation
About You
1–3 years' experience in a similar kitchen environment
Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
Positive attitude and ability to perform under pressure
Relevant culinary qualifications and food safety certification preferred
