The Pavilion Cafe is looking for a qualified Chef de Partie who is keen on delivering top class hospitality and food to our guests. With fourteen years feeding the local Warrnambool community and scores of tourists, we have become a reliable go-to café for many people. The best part of our business is that it is predominately days only.

We seek a chef to assist the Head Chef in our busy kitchen. This will include cooking for our customers and assisting with specials preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, supervising, and directing junior kitchen staff, and ordering for the menu when required. Also designing menus including seasonal menus, daily/weekly specials and selecting plate presentation, overseeing delivery of stock of food and equipment supplies and doing purchase orders, ensuring freshness and quality in the ingredients and preparation of meals, demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff, food stocktaking procedures and waste management, day to day temperature checks.

ABOUT YOU - thrive in a fast-paced environment, be calm under pressure, physically fit, and creative.· Has experience in putting high quality food on the pass, and maintains high standards, strong leadership and management skills with the ability to create a motivating environment, experience in all areas of the kitchen, experience cooking and managing a kitchen team, no issue with following directions, you must possess a demonstrable passion for food. Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 per year (negotiable)

Schedule:
